MacBeth Meadow Brome

MacBeth Meadow Brome is a long-lived, rapid developing, leafy short rhizomes. The presence of awns, hairy leaves and stems, distinguish meadow brome from smooth brome. MacBeth is used for pasture, hay and haylage. It is highly palatable to all classes of livestock. MacBeth is excellent when used as a companion for alfalfa. A seeding rate of 10 pounds per acre is recommended if broadcasting, seed at 20 pounds per acre. Seeding depth should be 1/4 inch. MacBeth is compatible with legumes and other grass species.

Preval

Preval is a great “NEW” grass to use in the northern USA. Preval exhibits good winter hardiness and summer production. Preval will produce long, wide leaves making it an excellent choice for haying or pasture. Preval can be used in forage blends to improve summer productivity for grazing or hay production. Preval has an early spring growth, with a regrowth consisting mainly of leafy shoots. It is suitable for both cutting and grazing.

Seeding rates: 35-45lbs./acre as pure stand: 10-15lbs./acre with other grasses: 35-45lbs./acre with legumes.

With new alfalfa seeding: 2-3lbs./acre.

Triticale/Pea 50/50 Mix

Triticale/Pea Mixture is composed of a Softer leaved Triticale for improved palatability and a true forage pea for improved tonnage and quality. The smaller seed size on the forage pea will allow for more peas in the field that assures greater opportunity for improved forage quality. Plant 100-120 pounds per acre and harvest approximately 60 days after planting. (when peas start to bloom)

Uses of Mix:
* Excellent for using as a cover crop for establishing alfalfa
